Fuengirola is for another year of great music as the park next to the Sohail Castle in Fuengirola will once again become home to a temporary stage throughout the summer.
There will be a range of stars visiting the coast with performances from Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, and for those of your looking for something a little louder, then you can get yourself tickets for Rainbow, The Scorpions and Europe.
Sir Rod Stewart became famous whilst performing in the Jeff Beck Group before joining the Faces. By the mid-seventies he was hugely popular in the UK and the USA. He has sold well over 100 million singles and albums.
Bob Dylan is arguably one of the best songwriters ever and although 77-years-old he is still touring the world. He is famous for his lyrics. It is hard to list his best material as there is so much of it but some favourites might include Visions of Johanna, Mr. Tambourine Man, Just Like A Woman, and All along The Watchtower. The artist’s songs have been covered by a plethora of other musicians including Jemi Hendrix’s version of All Along The Watchtower and Guns and Roses Knockin On Heaven’s Door.
Also performing in Fuengirola will be British Rock Super group Rainbow. Although a heavy rock band initially, there most famous hits have been Since You Been Gone, I surrender and Stone Cold. The second of these made it to number three in the UK charts. Stone Cold peaked at number 40 in the US Billboard chart but hit number one in the US Mainstream Rock Chart.
Scorpions were formed in 1965 and come from Germany. Their most famous song will be Wind of Change which actually comes from their eleventh album. The lyrics celebrate glasnost in the Soviet Union. It is estimated to have sold more than 11 million copies worldwide. Other popular songs from the group are Still Loving You, Send Me An Angel and Rock You Like a Hurricane.
