Shopping Center Parque Miramar.
Close to the castle in Fuengirola if you feel like a bit of holiday shopping. Includes a cinema that shows some of the latest films in English. There are over 2,700 free car park spaces. website.
Fuengirola. Next to the beach the outer walls are really all that remain of the castle. From time to time the town hall put on events such as, a beer festival, medieval market and occasionally musical artists play there.
Located on the riverbank near the seafront and the centro comercial Miramar. The town hall has cleaned up and levelled off the banks of the rio Fuengirola. On this piece of ground they have built cycle path and footpath as well as installed table tennis and a basketball net. If you haven’t brought your bike you can hire one to ride up and down this short cycle path. It is also possible to hire pedaloes and enjoy a trip up and down this part of the river. The area is great for young children.
I know what you’re thinking! Yobbo’s and broken glass or may be that’s just the skateboard park’s near where I grew up. This is something different. Well designed and used by bmx riders as well as skateboarders the park is well maintained, popular and has a cafeteria enabling the adults to keep an eye on the children. It is located next to the Miramar shopping centre which houses further places to eat as well as shop.
Paseo Maritimo and beaches.
The town hall have done a great job of providing a well contructed, wide.promenade which stretches from the castle to Los Boliches. Along its route are many chiringuitos where you can have a coffee and watch the people or the beach or may be have lunch.

Fuengirola Adventure Golf.
Takes crazy golf to a ‘hole’ new level. Fantastic course and something all the family can do together. The website does not do it justice but if you drive towards the castle at Fuengirola on the N340 and look towards the shopping centre you will see it nestled between the N340 and the river. website.
La Plaza de Los Chinorros
This area has come up in the last few years from a backwater behind the central post office to an area flushed with modern trendy bars. Great for watching the world go by and proof that in fact competition can drive business into an area rather than cause it to suffer.
Music in Fuengirola
If you are looking for live music there are many venues in Fuenguirola. Below is a selection of a few:
Lindas Music Bar is a popular venue with tribute acts from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The bar is located just back from the beach front in Calle San Juan Sebastian Elcano. Click here to visit their facebook page.
Moochers Jazz Café in the centre of Fuengirola has been offering live music in its restaurant for many years now. In the summer at least they have an act every night. They can be found just off Fish Alley.
The bar El Piso also has live music on a Thursday night. It is situated just opposite the Plaza de la Constitucion up a narrow flight of stairs. In summer with the windows open you had listen to great music and look out over the plaza.
