Churros is a popular breakfast in Spain, usually accompanied with a large cup of hot chocolate. A type of dough is piped into hot oil until crispy on the outside. If they are not sweet enough then you can sprinkle them with sugar! You then break off a piece of the churros and dunk it into your cup of hot chocolate. There are various varieties of churros. Porras are the the thicker style of churros. Another popular type are thinner and the dough is squeezed through a star shaped nozzle. This gives them a distinctive shape and these are known as Tejeringos. There is now a franchise chain of restaurants of the same name. Mijas Feria 2017 Live music performances

The annual fair in Mijas Pueblo is soon to commence and it includes an impressive line up of live musical entertainment. On Thursday 7th of September in the Municipal Caseta El Arrebato will perform. The singer-songwriter from Sevilla, whose real name is Francisco Javier Labandón Pérez, began his musical career in 1985. He was part of a group called Piel Morena with two friends from his home town. After the group split up in 1988 he recorded his first solo album which became a great success in Spain.
